Attorney's fees in Bulgaria are established by agreement between lawyer and client. The main factors that determine their formation are: |
- material interest;
- complexity of the case;
- the lawyer's efforts and the time required for processing the case.

It is possible to occur specific circumstances, that affect the level of remuneration. Most often this is the speed, with which should be done the act, so that undue delay could be if not fatal, certainly expensive. |
However, there is a lower threshold below which it is forbidden to negotiate legal fees. It was established in Ordinance № 1 on the minimum size of lawyers fees approved by the Supreme Bar Council of 8.VI.2010, and is issued pursuant to Art. 121, par. 1 in conjunction with Art. 36 and 38 of the Law on Lawyers. |
